Troika partnered with BET to create an overarching brand concept – called “NEON EVENT.” At the core of the concept is the language of connectivity brought to life through brightly lit neon tubes, whose sculptural forms inform everything from show and promo packaging to set design.
A customized neon tube typographic system was created for use throughout the event.
Working closely with the awards show production team, we developed hundreds of elements to create the epic, dynamic and consistent live show experience. Of course, it helped that Chris Rock added his biting humor and attitude to the festivities. The awards show had the highest ratings in years.
The promo package included a :15 second tease, promo package elements and integrated print and out-of-home design templates and tools.
