Troika is seeking a Head of Production with experience in branding, motion design, and animation. Job responsibilities include oversight of the production studio and all production projects, including: editorial, motion design/graphics, online content, digital OOH, experiential design, and more.

You must have strong business acumen, superior organizational skills, work well in a hands-on environment, and demonstrated ability to activate production, editorial, and design teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You are a collaborator and mentor with a big heart who inspires your team with your problem solving skills and a positive attitude.


  • Project Oversight
    • Setup and maintain best practices for scoping and budgeting, project planning, resource allocation, and project financial tracking.
    • Provide studio thought leadership and continued evaluation of the workflow process to ensure we are keeping pace with all technology, process, and creative evolution
    • Manage centralized project bidding process and evaluate bidding data for optimal ongoing results.
    • Partner the Account teams in the creation process of assessments, proposals, and SOWs.
    • Liaison with Business Development and Account teams to assess and provide appropriate resources for pitches and proposals.
    • Set goals, supervise, and provide clarity for projects and production priorities.
    • Stay up-to-date on current projects, foresee and get ahead of project challenges, and provide solutions when necessary.
    • Be a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and clients by providing a voice and vision for the company of the highest standards.
    • Facilitate project update meetings to brainstorm and problem-solve project challenges.
    • Ensure appropriate studio bandwidth for projects (e.g., confirm team availability, determine project leads and resources).
    • Communicate ongoing technology needs to ensure smooth production flow of projects through the company.
  • Team Management
    • Manage and guide a team of experienced staff and freelancers, including producers, editors, 2D/3D motion designers and animators.
    • Supervise 3rd party partnerships.
    • Lead in a manner that encourages creative thinking, enthusiasm, and camaraderie on the production team and in the studio.
    • Provide structure and support, encourage, develop, mentor, reward, and inspire the team.
    • Supervise production team to enable successful client services, including articulating client expectations, defining and monitoring project scope, managing the SOW process, and providing project oversight through delivery.
    • Enable potential, support career growth, and encourage a culture of peer learning and teamwork.
    • Build the capability of the producers through workshops, training, and other professional development opportunities.
    • Actively seek, hire, onboard, and train talent according to staffing plans.
  • Resource Planning
    • Oversee the creation and management of vendor and freelance contracts.
    • Oversee scope and resource planning across all projects.
    • Coordinate and lead effective utilization of all studio resources.
    • Provide resource forecast of upcoming business, including project scope, and potential resources to aid project and department planning.
    • Monitor production logistics related to project profitability, studio profitability, resource billability, and resource utilization.
    • Maintain long-term perspective on staff resources and key freelancers (e.g., appropriate assignments, growth opportunities).
  • Production Logistics
    • Maintain production database.
    • Provide necessary information to accounting to ensure timely invoicing and collections.
    • Monitor and communicate accurate budgets across all projects.

  • Experience:
    • At least ten years of experience including management in a post-production environment.
    • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations and creating long-term business relationships
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
