NBC Sports wanted to explore classic Americana design, stars and stripes, the grill of a ‘50s automobile, chrome textures and Las Vegas signage, but with a contemporary approach.

A New American Tradition
Bringing Football Back to NBC
The National Football League (NFL) returns to NBC Sports after an eight-year absence. NBC’s long history with the NFL began in 1939, when NBC became the first network to televise an NFL game - the Philadelphia Eagles vs. the Brooklyn Dodgers from Ebbets Field, a broadcast which reached approximately 1,000 TV sets in New York at the time.

Now, the NFL’s primetime broadcast comes to NBC and moves from Monday to Sunday, requiring an entire country to recalibrate their viewing habits. This time around, NBC Sunday Night Football premiered with top ratings of over 20 million viewers.

NBC Sports turned to us based on our expertise in developing sports identities and campaigns. Every day our work is seen in living rooms and sports bars across the country. Even if you’re not a sports fan you’ve seen ESPN’s SportsCenter or FSN’s Final Score. Watch a day of College Basketball or Football on ESPN or ABC Sports and you’ll see even more. It’s safe to say we are pretty much sports fanatics.
